Salena Marie Rochester, 73, of Kennett Square, PA passed on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at The Chester County Hospital after a long-term illness.
Marie was born in Landenberg, PA on January 6, 1944 to Cecelia J. Rochester and the late Elsworth W. Rochester. She was the eldest of seventeen (17) siblings.
She attended school in the Avon Grove School District graduating from Kennett High School. She worked as an assistant manager at the Dollar Store, at A.C.A. as a mushroom packer, at Hewlett Packard and sold Avon.
Surviving to cherish loving memories besides her mother is her longtime friend/fiance, Rafael Torres; three sisters, Janet E. Jackson, Maude S. Chamber, both of Kennett Square, PA and Deborah A. Calcano (Angel) of Wilmington, DE; nine brothers, Randolph W. Rochester (Ruth) of Cochranville, PA, John E. Rochester of Philadelphia, PA, Richard Rochester (Sherlene) of Garland, TX, Charles E. Rochester (Beverly) of West Grove, PA, Wendel L. Rochester (Wanda) of Avondale, PA, Albert P. Rochester, Robert S. Rochester, both of Kennett Square, PA, and Kevin E. Rochester of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Frances L. Rochester and brother, Victor W. Rochester.
